His online lessons draw on that professional background to help students strengthen their guitar playing, develop songwriting skills, and better understand the creative and practical work that goes into making music.
About Michael Edwards
Michael has spent more than 25 years recording and performing as a songwriter, composer, and session musician. His work has included guitar performance, commercial music, and television composition, giving him experience across several sides of professional music-making.
His guitar work can be heard in projects for BMW, Chevrolet, and ESPN. He also composed the theme music for the Travel With Didiayer television series, adding television composition to a body of work that spans recording and live performance.
Alongside his professional work, Michael is passionate about sharing what he has learned as a working guitarist. That experience gives students a practical view of guitar and songwriting beyond isolated exercises. Michael’s existing teaching materials cover topics ranging from timing, open-string and diminished chords, and left-hand warmups to recording guitar parts for a TV commercial and composing theme music for a television show.
