Welcome to Fingerstyle Guitar Vol. 1
If this is your first time through the course, begin with Part 1 below. If you’ve already started, pick up where you left off with the next incomplete lesson.
How to Use This Course
Work through the lessons in order. This course is built to help you develop a solid fingerstyle foundation using familiar open-position chords, practical right-hand patterns, and steady rhythm.
The goal is not to rush through the exercises. Take your time with each pattern and focus on clean tone, even volume, relaxed movement, and consistent time. Your thumb and fingers may feel awkward at first, but the coordination will improve with repetition.
Practice Tips
Start slowly and keep the rhythm steady. Make sure each note rings clearly before increasing the tempo.
Pay close attention to your right hand. Listen for buzzing, muted strings, uneven volume, or patterns that speed up and slow down. Once an exercise feels comfortable, try applying the same idea to other open chords or a song you already know.
Let’s get into it!
