He structures your lessons based on what you want to learn and what path you want to take with guitar. He will teach you the fundamentals but also make sure you get to learn/play songs you love. He is nothing but patient and has given me a great experience while learning a new instrument!

Shane is a great teacher who understands that the lesson is about you. I came Green Hills Guitar studio after trying to learn guitar off of youtube. The youtube teachers are good teachers, but they don’t compare to one-on-one lessons. Over the past 18 months (I take online lessons), Shane has drastically improved my both my right hand and my left hand technique. Shane is a teacher who can teach the impossible. If you aren’t sure about taking lesson guitars, then try one lesson. I promise you won’t regret it.
Sam is an absolutely phenomenal guitar instructor. Each week I looked forward to lessons because Sam truly made learning guitar enjoyable. I came in with basic knowledge of the instrument and Sam expanded my knowledge of scales, playing lead, finger picking, chord inversions and different guitar voicings.
I have been taking lessons with Shane for about six months, and have had the absolute best experience! Shane is an amazing teacher, and provides a really comfortable environment. The lessons are truly for the individual student. I wouldn’t trust anyone with helping me build my songwriting skills.

Sam is an incredible teacher — patient, kind, encouraging, and incredibly knowledgeable. He meets you exactly where you are and is always focused on helping you achieve your personal goals. I was nervous about taking guitar lessons for the first time in my 30s, but it has been one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. Also, the transition to remote lessons has been seamless. I think I like remote lessons even better than in-person lessons.
I recently participated in Shane Lamb’s Songwriting class and am currently attending his Music Theory class and couldn’t be more impressed! Shane is a fantastic educator who has an amazing ability to not only explain challenging and difficult aspects of music creation but to also DEMONSTRATE how they are applied. Highly, highly recommended!!!
